Reactive hot melt adhesives feature both high productivity as hot melt, and high durability as reactive properties. As they contain no VOC, the adhesives contribute to improve work place environment.
While those adhesives are widely used in such housing parts as interior parts and housing equipment in Japan, there are many other applications are considered to utilize the properties of reactive hot melt adhesives.

What are Reactive Hot Melt Adhesives?
They are the ones that have reactive group in the molecular structure. Moisture-cured hot melt adhesives, one of the representative, react their reactive group with water in the air, and form 3-dimensional structure that build up strong cohesiveness and adhesion. Please note that this reaction is irreversible. The cured materials are no longer of hot melt, thermoplastic properties.

- Reactive hot melt adhesives should be stored with no contact with moisture.
- Storage in elevated temperature or applying heat for long time may cause adhesion failure.
- To handle the products, it is needed to ventilate the work place and to wear protective gears.
